About us
Who we are
ResilienceONE delivers integrative health and wellness experiences, consulting, and on-site services that strengthen people, organizations, and the human capital behind their success.
The company
A resilience system, not a wellness perk
ResilienceONE is a US-based global company working in integrative health and well-being. It won the Top 100 Healthcare Leadership Award in 2019 and the Top 50 Healthcare Companies award in 2023.
The work is built around a straightforward idea: well-being programmes fail when they are bolted onto a working life rather than built into it. ResilienceONE designs high-tech, high-touch programmes that help people build habits that survive contact with a real week, leaning on consumer insight and behavioural science rather than good intentions.
Unlike most wellness providers, the programmes are delivered on site, with real resources and real people in the building. That is what makes the behaviour change stick, and it is the same principle Release & Rise runs on, only with days instead of hours.
How the work is delivered
Two halves of the same system
Wellness lounges
Relaxation spaces, treatment rooms, and health resources inside the workplace, with staff on site for coaching and primary care rather than a booking link and a waiting list.
The digital platform
Personalised virtual health management, education and lifestyle programmes, integrative therapies, and the analytics to show whether any of it is actually working.
Retreats
Release & Rise is the deep end of the same system: consecutive days, a small group, and one-to-one attention, for the question an hour a week cannot reach.
Inside the lounges
What high-touch actually looks like
The wellness lounges are not a quiet room and a fruit bowl. They hold treatment rooms and the therapies that go with them, staffed rather than booked three weeks out.
Why this exists
An hour at a time was never going to be enough
Sue E. Goodin
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Sue Goodin has spent her working life around healthcare without ever being the person in the treatment room. She was Director of Development for the Colorado Neurological Institute, consulted to HealthONE’s Swedish Medical Center, and worked with Yampa Valley Medical Center, Health Magazine, Vail Associates, and Arizona Heart. She graduated from the University of Denver and studied entrepreneurship at CU.
What that career gave her was an unusually clear view of a particular kind of person: capable, senior, relied upon, and quietly running on empty. She founded ResilienceONE to do something about it, and spent years building integrative health and coaching programmes inside Denver-area hospitals for exactly those people.
The programmes helped. They also ran up against the same limit every time. An hour of skilled care, slotted between a shift and a school run, can take the edge off a week. It cannot touch the arrangement underneath: a life organised, carefully and lovingly, around everyone except the person living it.
What that actually takes is distance. Real distance from the phone, the calendar, and the people who need answers. Enough consecutive days that the body stops waiting for the next demand. Skilled, unhurried, one-to-one attention. And other people in the room who are travelling the same stretch of road, so that nobody has to explain themselves from the beginning.
So she moved to Mexico and built it. Release & Rise is for adults who have been capable for a very long time and would like to find out what is underneath the capability.
In her own words
“Release and Rise Retreat has been in the works for awhile and just recently all the pieces and people came together with the right energy and desire.”
“It took me to move to Mexico City and follow my heart that I am excited to launch Release and Rise Retreat.”
“Please join us for the opportunity to grow, change and focus on being happier and healthier.”
The approach
Why four truths
Conventional care divides a person up. The back goes to one specialist, the sleep to another, the grief to a third, and the question of what any of it is for goes nowhere at all. Each appointment is competent. Nobody is looking at the whole.
The four truths are not a belief system. They are an order of operations: nourish first, because nothing else is possible on an empty tank; then release, because you cannot move while still holding it; then move; and only then create, when there is finally room to.
That last part matters more than it sounds. A board-certified health coach, an energy practitioner, a physical therapist, and a holistic psychotherapist working the same week means the retreat has a continuity that a series of separate appointments never can.
- Nourish
- What you have been last in line for. Real food, real sleep, and the unfamiliar experience of being looked after rather than doing the looking after.
- Release
- What you have been carrying without meaning to, and no longer have to. Some of it you will put into words. Some of it simply gets lighter.
- Move
- Your body, at whatever pace it is willing to give that day. Not a fitness programme. Movement as a way back into a body you may have been living slightly above.
- Create
- The part only you can do. What the next stretch is for, and what you would like to build in it, decided on purpose, rather than by default.
What this is, and what it is not
What it is
- Six structured days with experienced practitioners
- Private one-on-one attention, several times a day
- A small group of adults asking a version of the same question
- Real rest, the kind that takes a few days to arrive
- An invitation you can accept one piece at a time
What it is not
- Therapy, or a substitute for therapy
- A substitute for your doctor or your current treatment
- A boot camp, a cleanse, or a challenge to get through
- A religious programme requiring you to believe anything
- A place where you will be asked to share more than you want to
If you are currently in acute crisis, or in active treatment where travel would be unwise, this is not the right week for you, and we will tell you so honestly when we talk.
Your next chapter starts with you
Release & Rise is the part of this work you can join. If it sounds like the week you have been putting off, tell us and we will talk it through.
